Island Target Archery wants more people to give the sport a try. The club's current campaign has been successful with a family young boys attending.

Age is no barrier with archery as both the four-year-old and six- year-old did exceptionally well for their first shoot.

This week Phillip and Gwyneth returned for the second shoot. Phillip scores at 15 metres were so good, he will be advancing to 20 metres this coming Saturday. Well done Phillip.

Gwyneth struggled initially but improved considerably with the last few ends. Both shot a 72-arrow round.

If you or your family would like to try archery, give Iain a call to arrange a day and time.

Island Target Archery normally shoots on a Saturday afternoon at 1.45pm but with other sports and work commitments a priority for people, Iain is more than happy to arrange another time.

Don't forget - the first four weeks are free with no obligation to join.
