Dudley match reports

A Grade: Dudley United 52 def Wisanger 40 - In unexpected warm weather both teams started out strong. Wisanger's Bridie Berden with an early injury resulted in a quick shuffle of players.

The ball was contested well by both teams throughout each quarter. Dudley United's defence Eloise Wheaton and Tam Bailey picking off some passes had them chip away toward a lead which they built on each quarter.

Dudley United suffering injury with Shontae Jones in the third had their Centre, Kristy Tannebring join the goal circle with Tash Boxer. Wisanger continued to challenge but Dudley United's defence was tough. Great game with good sportsmanship.

C Grade: Dudley United 34 def Wisanger 30 - Dudley United started strong with accurate shooting by Wibke Tiemann and Corinne Houchin.

Both teams fought hard in the third quarter, with Dudley United up by only 1 goal. Dudley United settled in the final quarter for the win. - Tracey Boxer

Parndana match reports

A Grade: Parndana 61 def Western Districts 41 - Both teams coming into this game undefeated, so was always going to be a tough game.

Parndana getting the edge on WD to be up by 5 goals at quarter time. Brilliant play through the C from Lauren Hyde, and excellent shooting and movement from Janine Wandel.

WD struggling to get the ball into their attack line, as Parndana's defence was very tight all the way down the court. Parndana up by 11 at half time.

WD making some positional changes at half time, bringing young player Raemi Morris into the C and swapping their defence and goalies around.

Both teams fighting for every ball, and was in tough, hot conditions. Parndana finishing off strong to take out the game 20 goals winners. - Tracy Mills

B Grade: Western Districts 48 def Parndana 26 - What started out as an even contest, turned out to be quite the opposite in the match up between Parndana and Western Districts B grade netball.

The first few minutes were rhythmic, with each team converting the centre pass to a goal. Soon after, Western Districts stepped up and some handy intercepts in their defensive third had them up by 9 at the end of the first quarter.

A couple of positional changes were made at the break for each team, but the pressure from GK Anthea (WD) was too strong, and the passes into GS Maree (WD) were too accurate. Western Districts were up by 16 at the half time break.

Parndana did their best to lessen the gap in the third quarter, bringing Pa out to GA and Takeda into GS. However, Western Districts' pressure down the court resulted in several turnovers and their lead continued to increase.

Western Districts remained strong in the last quarter, but the Parndana girls didn't drop their heads.

Marina got her first run out in GD for the season, as Pa went into GK. The tall defensive duo was able to put more pressure on the Western Districts goalies. Wonks came away with a strong 48-26 win. - Crystal Stewart

C Grade: Parndana started strongly with accurate shooting and passing into the goals was well executed. From the first quarter on though WD settled and play evened up with teams almost even at 3 quarter time. WD came back to even the score in the last quarter with score seesawing. Parndana ended up with a narrow win in very unseasonably warm conditions.

D Grade: A great effort by both teams in hot conditions. Western Districts strong through the centre early on. Chris GS and Ashlee GA working well together for Parndana being fed well by Danielle. Good shooting by Caroline for Western Districts and strong defence by Talisa. A close game with Parndana coming out on top. - Jordy Hannam

13&Under: Western Districts 22 def Parndana 21 - This was possibly one of the best games for spectators to watch this year.

A very evenly matched game by both teams all the way down the court.

Ava having a great game in GA for Parndana receiving some excellent passes from Lily. Gisele for WD playing a good consistent game all the way down the court.

The last quarter was even right up until the last minute, when WD shot a great goal to take out the 1 goal win. Great sportsmanship from both sides, was very good to see. - Tracy Mills
