Clearing native vegetation on a property can present a number of legal issues which can be costly to landholders if the process is done incorrectly.
To help with the legal minefield a free community legal information session will be held today, Monday, June 7.
Community Legal Centres South Australia has teamed up with the Flinders Legal Centre to deliver the session, addressing some of the ways people can legally clear native vegetation and important things to be aware of.
The session will be held at 6pm at the Parndana Sports Club, or watch it live from 6pm on Zoom from the Kangaroo Island Community Centre in Kingscote.
To register for attendance and Zoom visit https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/cutting-through-the-issues-demystifying-native-vegetation-clearance-tickets-157014549745
Landowners who want more specific advice or can not make the session can have a free appointment with a lawyer on Tuesday, June 8, in Parndana, with the location to be confirmed. Registrations are essential.
