The free presentations and advice clinics on all things employment and workplace related continue next week at the Kangaroo Island Business Hub.

The 'Legal Essentials' Employment/Workplace Law Series is tailored to assist KI sole traders, small business owners and their employees.

Every Monday night in September, the hub is hosting aninformation session with expert guest speakers who have come across from Adelaide.

The following day, every Tuesday, these guests will then provide a free advice clinic on their area of expertise, where KI residents can book in for a one-on-one appointment.

The third free information session is on Monday, September 20. The session is focused on workplace health and safety. It is titled "Work Health Safety requirements and Workers Compensation claims".

A information clinic will follow on Tuesday, September 21, where employers and employees can obtain free legal advice on their workplace matters.

To register for either of these events, head to the Eventbrite page.

Week 4 and the final week will see Employment contracts and worker's rights, including dismissal and termination.

Community members were going to be encouraged to consider if they can organise and host a live streaming of the sessions at a community building in their neighbourhood. Those wanting to discuss options can contact Susi Whitehead on 0429 005 356.

If you have any questions about the series, or wish to register, please contact Holly McCoy on 0428 066 958.
