The 2021/2022 Kangaroo Island Cricket Association season sees the first red ball tossed this Saturday, October 16.

The 45-Over season starts with Parndana taking on Wisanger and MacGillivray hosting Kingscote. Western Districts has the bye. Hog Bay has stepped out of the competition this year, hoping to return in coming years.

For the first game all players are expected to be wearing black armbands in memory of KI Cricket Association life member Trevor Dunstan, who played KI cricket including for Kingscote and Western Districts, last playing in the 1990s.

This season will also see the traditional 20/20 Shovel Shield competition on December 11 at Kingscote.

The grand final will be at the MacGillivray Cricket Ground on March 19, 2022.

Parndana, who won the seniors last season, and the MacGillivray Juniors will be looking to defend their titles come the finals. Come out and support your team or why not join your local club.
