'January 3' to screen this Friday at Kingscote Town Hall

Just a reminder that the documentary film 'January 3rd' will screen this coming Friday, Dec. 3 from 7.30pm at the Kingscote Town Hall.

Please arrive by 7pm and bring cash for a small entry fee at the door to go back to the fire-affected community, and tickets will not to be held.

Starting the night at 7.30pm with a book excerpt reading by Margi Prideaux from her new book 'FIRE - a message from the edge of climate catastrophe', followed on with the screening of documentary film 'January 3rd' by local filmmaking trio en plein air films and local west end resident Sabrina Davis. The night runs to 9pm.

This is the second screening of the film after it was a crowd pleaser at the recent Humans of Kangaroo Island film and literature festival at Parndana in October.

The 1-hour documentary film tells the stories of fire-affected islanders and their experience of the most tragic day during the Black Summer fires on the island. The film also gives an insight into the recovery process of the wider community.
